Which shot is better - help me decide

My strange opinion is that I like them both, and feel that they need to be a diptique (if that's two photos next to each other) with the 1st one on the left, and the 2nd one on the right. They complement each other, and I feel it's very much of a story. Each photo is seen and understood better because of the one next to it.

I like the second because I don't think the context matters. What's important is the sort of unearthly feel from all the steam, which is stronger in the second. I also like the way you brought out the contrast in the guy's jacket in the second, which adds to the overall feel of the image.

I like the 2nd, it's more obvious that the man is the subject

Forget the parking in the rear sign. I love the look of how he is smoking in the second one. It stands out alot more in the second one. So #2.

I like the second one the best. It's closer up and it cuts out that distracting branch. :thumbup:
