Hoping I got those names correct. Took these 8-9 in the morning on a bright beach. I know white is hard to retain in birds feathers, so am hoping for alittle critique/help.
These were cropped, and shadows, detail sharpened in Windows editing program.
I am watching tutorials for my new PSE 11 but have not figured that out yet. I would eventually like to be able to brighten/add more color to a beak or feet area of a photo.

these settings are almost the same. He was pretty still for a bit, so I just tried different exposures according to my meter. High SS was thinking he would fly off as I got closer.

I know the last 2 are almost the same settings. I was looking at something else in the lens, and when I looked down he was standing there. He walked around me and I twisted my body rather than moving my feet as to not scare him away.
Thank you all,
Nancy
