Who Captured Who?

Revisited, this shot still impresses. I've shot--and still shoot--lots of street and do it with primes. Mostly 35-50mm, sometimes 28mm. Have done it enough to know how close to zoom with my feet to get framing I like pre-edit. I ditched mid-range zooms early since I missed too many shots pumping for framing. Point is, you see the shot and grab it. The spontaneity obvious here negates criticism. Isn't that what C-B's "decisive moment" was all about?

Thanks man! As you say, this was one of those moments when all the elements of a good street shot momentarily aligned. I believe the best street shots tell a story, show human interaction, and provide interesting tidbits that reinforce the first two. Here, the spontaneity of the photographer and her subject smiling for the camera starts the story, the girls reflection in the the glass reinforces her place as primary focal point, the sign top right "Small Things Market", the little girls clothes in the window and the kids tablet on the ground also tells you its about her, the leading lines created by the walk and window sills, and frame within a frame created by the columns provide a solid base to bring the eye back to the main focal point. I literally turned saw and shot, in a minute the opportunity had passed, there was no time to prepare, and no retakes.

The reflections make that shot really nice
Thank you! But as the phrase " But wait there's more" made popular in Infomercials says, look more closely.
