Can anyone give me a few names of famous photographers? And what they are famous for (technique or subject).

Or alternatively, can you throw a few names at these subjects/techniques:

Portraiture - Straight forward and standard;
Landscapes - Again, ordinary;
Alternative;
Absract;
Black/White; (I realise this is quite a broad category!)
Fashion
Sports

I'm looking for the most prominent names in these fields, not just a list of all known photographers.

He hasn't listed what they're famous for though in that list there, and I can't help you out on that either sorry. But remember - google is your friend.
