What's new

Why did you buy that?

My husband bought his Rollei with a Schneider lens for 75 bucks (from someone he knew) and we never fail to be in awe of the photos it produces. The camera case is battered and needs some TLC, but there ain't a thing wrong with that camera. We can't take it anywhere without people noticing and being drawn to it.

I love working with older cameras. I hope they don't come back in vogue, because like Matt said, it keeps the price down. That's a total misperception about the "softness" of the pictures - if you want soft pictures, buy yourself a brand new Holga.

There's just something about working with an old, beautifully crafted, piece of equipment that yields perfect work that makes my little heart stand still.

The oldest cam in my house is my dad's Yashica its even older than me, i'm 24 and the cam is about 3/4 years oldr than me...but damn its really a good cam! 8)
