Wide angle lens, or conversion kit?

Hi, I was looking at wide angles for my sonya100

Are the wide angle CONVERTERS good? Because they are like 40 bucks, to the 300$ real lens.

Do they work just as well? Or should I just save?

No, they don't work just as well as an actual lens. They will degrade your image quality, just how much will depend on the particular adapter that you have.

I can see that they would be fun to try, and for $40, why not.
