Wide Angle Lens?

I've searched around on here and on google....all i'm trying to do is find comparisons between a regular lens and a wide-angle lens. I plan on getting a wide-angle and probably a telephoto or macro lens for my canon s45 (found an adaptor for 37mm lenses online)...

If you have pics, or a website to show the difference that would be great I really want the wide-angle for car shots and just to make some shots looks differnet.
