The red I dunno; color looks good to me. What it does seem like is a bit soft compared to your 85mm 1.4G.

I cannot compare the razor sharp precision of the 85 to this lens. Then again, the quality of the skin tone and out of focus elements are only comparable to the 200f2 from my experience.

I compare the two like an LP record VS. Today's CDs. Sure the CD has no background scratches but it lacks that ambient warmth of old school vinyl.
