What a dramatic photo! I love it.

I think if the white areas behind the lattice... essentially the background... were much much darker, it might work for me. But as it is, it is a weak photograph for me. I like how the light is hitting him and how the color of the light accents his eyes, but the background is just killing it for me.

Have to agree with Bazooka's assessment. Try a tighter crop to eliminate a lot of the background. Besides, the most interesting part of the cat is it's intense facial expression and those green eyes.
