Long lens with low shutter speed.

This is probably near my limit to handhold and get a decent shot. Wish I could have opened the aperture but my ISO went to high when I tried.

(I take it you mean close your aperture not open as you already had it at f/4?)

Hats off to Mr. Hand! I go low like that a lot with my big Tamron but I have VR in the lens, the VR seems to work as high as 1/640 sec. but I usually bring it down to 1/320 for lower ISO. Nice shot.
