‘Wind’ trails

[JoshuaSimPhotography]

Ok, trying some other ideas on the competition i’m trying to enter (the brief is wind) I went outside and tried some slow shutter speeds. Luckily it was reeallly windy! So windy that it moved my tripod! But when i saw the result it looked great. These are the pics i got from shaking my tripod left and right. It reminds me of star trails…plus wind!

Very creative way of turning what some would dismiss as a failed shot into something creative. Nicely done.

Thankyou! I was going for that type of interpretation

[unpopular]

And I thought my 50/1.8 had nauseating bokeh

[Tony S]

Reminds me of the camera tossing technique.

[JoshuaSimPhotography]

Sorry for any seizures guys (mwahaha). But does it remind you of wind??

[Animaniac888]

Yes.

[JoshuaSimPhotography]

Glad it reminds you of wind, does it remind you guys of anything else? Or why it reminds you of wind?

[binga63]

it looks alot like radial blur in photoshop...clever way of achieving it

[JoshuaSimPhotography]

I’m suprised it turned out this way by only a simple shake, binga, have u got any ‘wind’ pics yet?

[binga63]

no Joshua... not that are any good....there is supposed to be 2 typhoons happening this weekend but I think that they are going to miss....they did create nice sunsets though...
