Interesting in that it challenges the viewer to try to figure out what the photographer's intent was in the image, bordering on constantly coming to the conclusion that there was no real purpose and intent, but never being quite sure and thinking 'maybe there's something here and I'm just missing it"

What caught my attention was the contrast between the organic shapes in the trees and the geometric shapes in the building, the subtle variation in light. But the image itself is really mostly a about color.

if it's about color, it seems unbalanced due to the paleness of the blue compared to the red.

I think it works as a presentation of color and also for having a little mystery. I agree with the comment about too much blue. One could see it as a contrast in color and texture, but it just isn't that interesting and I think a slice of it a little bigger than the roof would still accomplish these things.

To me, the white roof trim is a little distracting blending perfectly with the photo frame. It's like two photos. The bottom consists of the building and trees and the top consists of a blue roof and sky.

I think it works as a presentation of color and also for having a little mystery. I agree with the comment about too much blue. One could see it as a contrast in color and texture, but it just isn't that interesting and I think a slice of it a little bigger than the roof would still accomplish these things.

I do agree that contrasts are what I am illustrating - I even added yellow to the bricks to emphasize this. But for me, atmospheric context is important also. I like the gauzy quality of the sky and the subtle clouds extending from the top of the building which would be lost with a tighter crop, for me, this image is very much about the sky in context with the building.

I've thought about cropping it tighter, and for me at that point it's just a brick wall.

But I do appreciate your comments, and I don't mean to be all "but! but! but! it's perrrrffffecctctcttt!"

White's white... I'm not sure you can fix it.
