Winter in Amsterdam

We have snow, right before christmas. That doesn't happen very often.
I took my camera when I went out to buy christmas presents this morning. I took these on the way home.

What a lovely series of shots, Jeroen! The crisp white blanket of newfallen snow looks so pretty. I have always liked the architecture in Amsterdam, and the look of the bicycles everywhere, so these photos strike a nice chord with me

What a great series. I love Amsterdam and what you have done with these shots. # 6 is my favorite but they all have great all around details.

I think for snapshots they are fantastic! It's interesting, I went to Amsterdam last year between December 28th and January 11th. It never came close to snowing, which I'm fortunate for, but it was really sunny. Is snow common around this time of the year?

Love No.1 and No.6, even the rest are nice.

I really like no 6.

No 4 with the bikes looks very messy, nothing to draw me to the photo
No 7 by cutting the roof off is really distracting

On a side note i think you did really well on all the photos with regard to lighting. Heard its tricky to photograph snowy conditions... never seen snow myself.
