took my daughter up to Mt. Baker, near the Canadian border, to go snowboarding last weekend, and while her boyfriend was attempting to teach her the finer points of remaining vertical while sliding downhill on a board, i wandered off with my camera. Mt. Shuksan was out in all her glory, covered in snow, against a deep blue sky, and i couldn't resist taking a few shots. i think my favorite of the day is one i converted to B&W, inspired by Ansel Adams... Canon 5D, Tamron SP24-135 lens with Hoya polarizer, various focal lengths and settings...
your basic mountain shot...
a 2:1 ratio wide-view... the original of this is a multi-shot stitch, about 28Mp, and will print quite nicely at 18x36 with no upsizing...
the black & white version. Ansel Adams i ain't, but i do kinda like this conversion... sort has the same feel to it...
