Winterscapes

Hi everybody

I am new here...but didn't feel like starting a thread in the "i'm new here thread"


so here is 2 images that I recently took. I never find the time to shoot landscapes...well here it is...

First of all Welcome Pierre.
I like the composition and exposure in your first image. Very dramatic sky.
The second image is also quite good. I think a little impact is lost in the amount of barren space throughout the middle of the image and the subject is a little hot perhaps. Still a good shot though.
Good job on these.

 

Hey, Pierre: These are really good. In #1, I like the relative calm of the foreground and tree, contrasted with the really interesting and volatile sky. Nice. I also like the tremendous depth you achieved in #2.

I'd say, "very cool."

in most parts of South Africa we don't get snow! lol
