So last Thursday we had some snow. And I thought it would be the only mentionable amount we'd get (never knowing what was in store for us this morning...!). I went out to take some photos. Would you care to take a look?

The 'famous' sheep barn in our village
('Famous' because it is on the village viewcard - for lack of any other sights)

The sun as it "shone" at that moment only while I was out and about
(later it came out and the snow melted away in no time at all!)

Thank you all. I took about 20 of that sheep barn because of it's "notoriety" (erm... weeellll... the village hasn't got any more sights, other than the church, maybe) and this is not the only good one. Do you care to see some more?

i like them all but i'll be different and choose the last.

Oh, LaFoto, I absolutely love the sheep barn -- both its architecture and your rendition of it. And the snow drops -- wow!

Your "Mistaken flowers" reminds me of our situation here in PA, USA. I waited all winter for snow, but we had such mild weather that by the end of January the daffodil leaves were up about 3 inches. Finally, I gave up on winter/snow and started longing for Spring. Then, last week, I found our first crocus bloom. Ah, yes, Spring at last. The very next day we got 4 inches of snow. When it melted 2 days later, the crocus was still there but looking shabby -- bent over and broken. Yesterday we got 4 more inches. Gosh, you can just never tell. :lmao:

Great series of photos.....

Seems like everyone has a different favorite.

I would have to say the third is my favorite.
