Could you please clarify the question?

Any DSLR with a functioning hotshoecan be used with wireless flash. Are you asking about any system specific? For example the Nikon CLS?

What flash do you have? The D5100 apparently supports the Nikon CLS feature, and can control certain speedlights with the popup flash.

I would recommend reading up on it in your user manual.
