Not bad for a first attempt. Backgrounds are too busy, but that comes with shooting on these types of fields, the best place to shoot soccer is from the end, shooting down the field helps give you more separation and a cleaner background. It's a tough sports to shoot with a lens less than 300-400mm.

Yeah this was with my 80-200. It's a beautiful lens, but definitely too short at times

Love the dirt kicking up in #4, bummer about the background though, as mentioned before. That would be a good shot to get if you aim for it and maybe make the actual dust cloud the subject, trying to get it in the bottom left. I don't watch much soccer, so I don't know if that happens frequently enough to shoot for or not

I shoot my daughters games all the time, I found over time I've learned the players patterns and that's helped me with my picture timing. I like all the pictures and backgrounds, looks very natural and not staged.

Just a smidgeon earlier when the ball was mere inches from here foot would have made the third image much stronger. Sports and dance is when I use the higher exposure per second capabilities of my camera.
