I took a pic of some cracks in the wood the other day...
I don't like the way it's out of focus though...

Any other critiques besides that?

Smaller aperture would help with focus.

Smaller aperture will help with depth of field.

You could have been too close i.e. closer than the lens closest focusing distance. I say this as 1/250 @ f7 should be OK to get a sharp image.
