What's that first one? It doesn't look like a Northern Flicker, but that's the only thing I can think of that it even comes close to around these parts.
At any rate, that's definitely one I haven't seen before--or if it's a Flicker, it's the most unusual one I've ever seen.

Woodpeckers are so entertaining! I love watching mine--I just wish I had a red-headed one to add to my backyard list!

The first one is indeed a northern flicker. This may be a younger bird lacking some field marks
