Wowee! That lens has been calling my name for some time now. Especially now that I have a D800 as well. I just couldn't get it at the time, so I picked up a used 17-35/2.8 Nikon for roughly $700! Super stoked about that, but I'm dying to get my hands on that very lens. Let me come with you to those mountains!

Thanks! If I can get out to some mountains I saw last week, while they still have snow on them... YEA! Should be able to get some nice shots! Unfortunately, this is a holiday weekend (I had forgotten).. and I hate driving on those weekends!
