WTB: Small(er) lens

Need a smaller lens, 24, 35, 50, along those lines. Already have a 28-80, so no go on that.

Camera is a Nikon D50.

I'm teaching my girlfriend how to take pictures for a photography elective class in school, so I don't want to spend a whole lot of money.
