If only I had got the DOF right and the bird was sharp as well. Lesson learned here, f4 or 5.6 on a 70-200mm racked out and close to the subject is not enough.
Tiny flaw yes or no - I still like this one! Lovely background colour greenpbl: ), lizzard in the nicest possible colour, too greenpbl: ), and he bird is still enough in focus to show the strands of spider's web and the dirt at its ... erm ... backs... bottom.
The totally blurred background fascinates me. That's what such a wide open aperture does for you! (OK, it also begins to blur the bird, but...)
I was hoping they might come back for a 2nd shoot so I could work on getting the image I was hoping for but I guess they had a date or something as I've yet to see them again.
The background was a happy accident, it was the only angle to get a shot with the background being a fair distance away, and it just so happens there was some nice flowers blooming and they provided a nice colorful backdrop.
