Went out the reserve yesterday morning and it was dark and cloudy, they didn't turn out well! Im confused with which metering mode im supposed to be in for birding?

They look good, maybe convert them to BNW if the light was a bit dull.

Nice shots! I'm usually using center weighted, but sometimes spot metering depending on the shot.
