i wonder who ever thought to eat such an ugly bird? great photo though. how do you get so close? we have some wild turkeys at work, and they run as soon as we turn into the driveway, over 500 feet long!

In the fall ,they think with the wrong part of their body, and if you are careful you can sneak up close. (I Crawl) BUT, once they catch to too close they WILL Attack!!

I agree with whoever said a tad bit more room in front of the bird, but THE BACKGROUND IS FINE! What the heck is wrong with a natural background at the actual scene? I think it looks cool, and you don't HAVE to do what everyone says. As far as I'm concerned photography is a matter of taste, and if you like it that way, then leave it. I think way too many people have A.D.D. and are distracted at everything! No offense to the nice people who say the background is distracting, but everyone always says the same thing! Grrrrr!

you just don't know what everyone will like that day ,but it's always fun . Thanks Again

Thanks for your comments Shutterbird ,As with all forums, I know, I have to take the advice I want and discard what I don't. I like to here everyone's opinion because you just never know what the masses will like "That Day" and tomorrow everyone will change there mind and like something else.
I really did think they were on to something ,as far as the bg ,drawing the viewer away(Distracting) from the main subject . I do however like the original better than the re-do. But I like the second photo i did ,(Same bird and location, deferent pose, not posted) better than these. So now I have both. Win !
Again Thank You for your thoughts and comments they are Appreciated
