i'm only very new to this but here goes.
For me, the other flower petals are distracting. the whole thing seems a little out of focus. other than that i like the idea of the shoot.

what did you use to get this shot?

The shot is out of focus. I say shot rather than flower because there really doesn't seem to be a point of focus anywhere. I find the petals in the upper left to be very distracting and also the one petal in the very front of the main flower, since its the only one that is bent upward it tends to make the flower look incomplete - like all of its petals aren't there.
