Yellowjackets in flight. C&C Welcome

[CMfromIL]

As if bee's were not difficult enough to capture in flight I thought "why not a yellowjacket"? 150 or so pictures later I have 4 images that are postable. These things are fast and fairly unpredictable. Fortunatly for me, we are having a bit of a dryspell. The yellowjacket was coming for water off of a planter my wife has on our patio.

Used my kit lens (18-55), and had it set on AV mode, manual focus.

Very nice set. Picture #3 is my personal favorite. A closer crop of the Yellowjackets in all your pictures seem to be in order.

Thanks, I may try and crop them a bit more. I didn't want to lose the 'tea cup' that they were drinking at though.

I like number three as well. Even without the teacup it's still cool with some touch ups. cute little wall hanger if you like to print your bugs n stuff
