I shot this while on a roadtrip with my family last summer. The West is an amazing place to say the very least.

What time of day did you shoot it? Looks a little grainy in the sky and clouds. Great shot overall though.

The sky does look a bit grainy, but nevertheless beautiful clouds and mountains. I'd like to see just a bit more detail in some of your dark areas.

I'm assuming you must've used a high ASA/ISO? Grain usually looks amateurish but for some reason it lays this photo out nicely. Perhaps the vintage feel aligns with the content of the photo er something..

Anyhow, I really like this..perfect for black and white because of the black, grey, white, grey black (from bottom up)

Thanks you guys! I don't remember what time of day it was, it was so long ago and I shot so many photos on the trip.

I used hp5 which is a 400 iso film, but I pushed it a stop to 800. The grain was enhanced when I burned the sky in with photoshop.

The mountains stand out nicely, but the trees in the foreground are blending into the ridge in front of the mountains...

whoa! that is a little harsh, thats fine though, i still like it.

The grainy sky doesn't bother me, the bottom half though is too dark especially the trees, gotta show a bit more detail in those shadow areas if possible.
