Sigh, I fear I have shot myself in the foot through my own ignorance. I purchased a Yongnuo 468-II for Nikon TTL flash to use with my D5200 and most functions except zoom seem to work. The other issue I am seeing is that in auto camera mode with the flash in the camera shoe the built-in flash tries to pop up with the trigger.
Was I wrong in assuming that this flash should work with the 5200 or is there perhaps some setting I need to do in the camera to enable the TTL, or is there a problem likely with either the flash or the camera?

All advice is appreciated.

I have the exact same flash which I use on my D7000.
So far it is working perfectly and I have only good things to say about it.
Hope you figure out what's wrong, sorry I cant help much :(

If it weren't for the built-in flash popping up issue i would probably keep it as a manual flash. I got it at a good price. but the built-in popping up is just too annoying.

I had the same problem with my D5000 and Yongnuo flash. I do things in this order, mount flash on hotshoe, turn flash on and make sure its set to TTL, turn on camera. Works fine for me.
Otherwise use the camera in "P" program auto setting and the onboard flash doesnt pop up.

Hope it works for you.
