Goal three elements..... Goal was to capture the subtle, dappled sunlight (element 1) on white parts without clipping highlights. Frame in such a way to incorporate opposite color as an added element (2) to the composition (green backdrop) as well as complimentary color in a pleasing way, without distracting. Carefully focus (smallest focus point) on the anthers to make them pop in a 3D way (element 3). Do this all in camera with no edit.

Fujifilm X-T2 with 60mm 2.4 macro. 1/300s @f/11, ISO 800, Center weighted metering. Shot in Velvia film simulation mode JPEG.

As a SOOC JPEG, it's good, but I have this sense that a slight curves tweak would make the highlights more crisp, and that you could make this even better. I sense that the 800 ISO setting has compressed the shadows and lower mid-tone values and colors just a tiny bit too much...I just want to see the light feel more lively, so to speak.

I can tell by just looking at it, and knowing it's a Fuji SOOC file, that it would respond to a curves manipulation very readily. Not trying to knock the image, and I understand that the goal was NOT to manipulate the image at all, but I have this sense that the 800 ISO hurt the maximum "Snap!" by a little bit. I wanna see the dappled light be brighter, more snappy, and I think the darker areas need more contrast. The color saturation is high, but the local contrast is too low to convey dappled sunlight to me.
