Your before and after - your setup and your shots

(totally stealing this idea from another site )


Thought it would be neat to have a thread where we show up a our camera setup and then the photo(s) that we got from the setup. I know we have one like this for lighting setups and studio work, but this is for any kind of setup - from something simple as camera+lens through to complex arrangements of lenses, tripods, flashes, waterdrops and more.

This is really about showing your setup (photo!) and then your results - also listing out the gear you used in the setup as well.

It's open to anyone - any skill level any kind of photography - so lets see what you've got.

I know - I'm trying to find the 1 setup shot I've done that I know I've got somewhere in my archives - I just don't take many setup shots (mostly because I've only got the 1 camera - not even a backup phone camera)

^^ hehehe... I know what you mean. Okay, so I found one that I haven't posted recently.


The Setup:
Camera: ? (not sure, but methinks the D300)
Lens: Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 Micro
Tripod splayed out, bowl of water (extra on the side), nose suction thing full of cooking oil, something to stir with, a brightly colored background (really cool looking buff), 1-stop diffuser on light stand (actually in position on the shots), counterweights (a lens and a camera bag), remote shutter release...... and most importantly, a few shots of tequila and a good-for-nothing dog laying on his back.

I want to remember, I think it was 36 images stacked...., but I don't think this was the final image. ​

On the second setup, what is the D4 standing on ? A wine glass ?

My setup is A WHOLE LOT OF photochopping LOL..

That dog is cool. Seems really aggressive and ready to protect the realm against all comers.
