    I think these are great. Good DOF. I would have shot a ton of shots on the insect in #3. He has cool color and just looks wicked.

    #4 is nice. I like the way he is smiling for the camera.

    Great. Keep going.

    yeah i was trying to get more of the dragonfly, but was leaning very far out over the water and it was getting quite hard to hold myself up.

    I bought a 70-300mm lens today so it shall be easier in the future ( using 18-55 kit lens in these pics)

    Very nice detail and focus! I like #3 the best. Depth of field is good too. But they are all very good. Nice job! :thumbup:

    Those are some awesome captures. I need to get a macro lens one of these days. Great work

    they were all taken with the 18-55 kit lens that comes with the d50.


    hopes my new sigma 70-300 w macro gets here tomorrow. then i can get some more nice pics without having to get as close.

    I like the second, it's more expressive, the 3rd is the best to me, colors, reflections, environmental surroundings.
