Attn: Terri Cropping and Contrast?

Anyone? What are your feelings about contrast and cropping on this one?

This looks like an interesting statue...very nice texture-y feel to this image, Cindy. :thumbup: hmmm, can't comment much on the crop because I don't know what the original image contained, and if I'd find this an improvement or not. I'd say the contrast is pretty nice.

But.... (of course there is a *but*) :razz: know what I want more than anything right here? A very shallow DOF....I don't want to know that there is a building and what appears to be neatly trimmed bushes behind and around this statue. It keeps pulling my eye away. Lose that background, and it becomes all about the statue.

I'd also like to see more light thrown on the face of this statue, I'm sure it is an expressive one but it's all in shadow (at least on my home monitor).

Where was this taken? Would like to see more!
