Best 'bang for buck' digital SLR?

I bought my D50 in a camera store during a promotion. It was $495 with the cheap kit lens or $595 with an upgraded one. I bought the $495 one, sold the kit lens for $80 on Ebay, and bought a lovely $1400 zoom to go with it. How's that for going against the tides?

or if you don't mind Older and Cheap...the 300D's(Digital Rebel) can be found very cheap on ebay now a days...That was my dlsr and I took great photos with it. The glass is what really matters anyways, so spend the extra money on memory and lenses. Plus its a nearly full sized DSLR as far as size goes. I cant stand the size of the 350D/400D... Like said before...You get what you pay for in most situations.

For a new Camera I like the new Pentax K110d. For the price I don't think anything out there can beat it. Plus like Nikon you can use just about any Pentax lens out there (used ones are priced very low on ebay).

I have Nikon and Canon but I am thinking about giving the Pentax K110d to my parents and my wifes parents for x-mas.
