C&C on: A Pot

I feel:

It's a bit underexposed, your subject (main focal point) is dead center which makes it kind of boring, and your background is a bit distracting in that it doesn't really accentuate the subject.

could you maybe bring it out more from your background so you have a smaller dof. I found the background distracting and not complimentary to your vase or pot or whatnot.

So drop the apature down to a F 2.8 or 1.6 (something in that range?) it was hot at an f 8.
