Beyond the color issues, a gold (or white) reflector placed on the ground in front of the subject -- or rather off frame to where she's facing -- would have alleviated the shadows on the eyes (which, btw, all the edits posted have made worse). Your other option would be fill flash.

Or better yet, under a scrim would have evened the light out entirely.
 
How do you adjust the white balance?

Use different film, or use a color correction filter.

That film is probably Daylight balanced though, so - since this was shot in daylight, it's right.

Is this a scan of the print, or the negative?

If it's the print, the redness was from the lab and could easily be corrected before printing. If it's the negative, it would still be pretty easy (not sure what software you're using).
It's a scan of the print. It could be the film. It is cheap, store-brand film that came with the camera.
 
Take this coming from a girl.............no woman wants her thigh to be that prominent in a picture......;) Its not a very flattering sitting position
