When I'm looking at a photo's properties in Flickr and it says Contrast: Hard, Saturation: High, does that mean its an in-camera adjustment, post production adjustment, or is the camera just recording facts about the picture based using it's internal software? It's very confusing for me! Thanks.

That's a listing of their in-camera settings, I believe. In my experience those numbers don't get recorded in raw mode.

I believe it is referring to settings in the camera's internal menu. When you click on "more properties" in flickr, it shows you the photos exif data, which is put there by the camera itself.
