If I want to have the flash on a tripod off to the side and have it hooked to the F100 and get the most features I can. How do I do this (what chord?)?

I would have to say that the SC-28 or SC-29 cords are your best bet. These are the latest and greatest and they replace many discontued cords.

Thanks a ton. I kept searching for the sc-17 found in the manual. Now if I want to put it on a tripod, do I need any other accessories, or does the chord come with holes or something. Also, are there any extension chords, or can you hook these up together?

The SC-17 is discontinued. There is a mounting whole in the portion of the SC-28,29 that connects to the flash allowing you to attach it to a tripod. As far as connecting multiple flashes together, I haven't looked into that yet. I would assume using a simple pc to pc cord to attach the flashes together and use the SC-28,29 to attach one flash to the camera.

If you bought SB-800 flashes you can do this wireless. Just a thought.
