Coot on ice

Taken the other day on my first outing out with the 600mm in almost two months!

I had an awful morning when I got this and didn't expect to get any shots so was pleased to manage a single image - let alone one I liked!! For those interested, I wrote a small post on my blog about the nightmare morning and used this image to illustrate why you should never give up even when it's all going against you lol

I never thought I'd see the day that someone would take a good photo of a Coot

Love how you even captured the ice crystals on the surface where the coot is sitting. Love the stare, and all the detail you got in the feathers too
