What do you think about this crop I made with one of my latest portrait shoots?
do you think the grain works well?

I don't remember the specs... but I did use Ilford film. (added grain in PS)

I like the crop, all you get to see is that someone with a guitar is going someplace on some tracks. Its very universal. However, I think it would work better with a tad less grain. The grain is good, I just would also like to see one with a little less.

i agree with darin, but i wonder how it would look if you pulled back just a bit to include more track.

I like the shot. I am compelled to create my own story and I love that. The crop is a good approach. The problem is that the shot would have been better suited to a wide angle lens and cropped in the camera. I think a more natural grain would have looked better here. The current version looks more like noise.

I think you are having the same problem with grain that I had. Looks like there is a bit of color there. You have to desaturate again after the grain.

I agree with JM that just a tad bit more of the photo would be nice. BTW I saw this in your senior pix series and really loved this one especially. Nice shot.

I was rushing last night and I did it in about 30 seconds...
But I had it in my mind and had to get it out there before I lost it. haha
