Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I shot this IR image today and decided to try something a little different.

No conversion done, just RAW white balance.

Here is the experiment, This is the B+W version with the color added from another normal color exposure of the same scene.

I know which one I prefer, what do you guys think?

Thanks for looking.

sheeezz......how can you pick one favorite??? the first looks like a young snow...the second, i really dig the black and white balance..the third is wonderful shot of fall...or maybe a soft heaven look to it...

can i vote for all three???? if i had to pic one... i think the first...
but i would be proud of all three.....( i know, i'm as much help as an in-law at a house paintin'...)

I'm no help either :er:

I think it depends on what kinda mood you're in? I like the first the best though! #3 is unique...lots of potential for a painting coversion. Good job on all 3!

Easy for me!

I love no 1 and actually don't like 2 & 3!

I think it's the reddy/brown in the river in no 1 that makes it look smooth & calm. the bright trees are fantastic!

No 2 just looks too cold & hard to me

No3, apart from it just looking weird & unnatural, looks a bit like the aftermath of a chemical weapon and looks a bit evil

#1 is my favorite... 2 and 3 just don't do it..

Steve

Thanks everyone, I prefer the first. I had all three of them printed and the third looks a bit better but the first is still my favorite.

the 1st is deffinetly a great photo. great use of the IR filter.
i'd like to know what you did on the 3rd photo though.
is it a color layer on top of that?

Thanks, I used a tripod and took two exposures one in IR and one in color.
After I converted the IR shot to B+W I created another layer in which I placed the color image. I set the blending mode to color and lowereed the opacity to around 50%.
