Exposure displaying right on DSLR

I was shooting the other day, and trying to get the lighting down. When i would look on the screen on the D80, the pictures looked overexposed, so i adjusted until they looked properly exposed.
The problem is when i load them on to the computer, every single shot was underexposed. Anyone else having this problem??

Using the image on the LCD screen on the camera is a poor way to judge exposure.

Use the histogram instead.

Also, if your computer monitor isn't calibrated...you are 'working in the dark' so to speak.
