First shots with my new lens

I got my 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM lens, and so far I love it! Here are a few shots from my first day with it. Any comments/critiques are welcome and appreciated! These were taken with a Canon 10D. Thanks in advance,

Looks to me that there is quite a bit of lens flare in 1,3, and 4.
