I went to high school in Atlanta, and was in the hiking club. We took many, many a trip up that way, from the Chattahoochee National Forest up to the Nantahala Forest/River, and east over toward Toccoa. Now that I'm "back home" in East TN, I spend more time in the GSMNP and haven't gotten down that way in years. Beautiful, beautiful area though.

I actually prefer the first. For me, this sort of image works best when it looks like a painting, and the first has that look.
