Greatest Accomplisment?

I feel more like Corry....I think I've done some cool stuff, but I can't think of anything to point to and say, "That is the greatest thing I've done." I'm just enjoying the journey, happy to be in an enduring fabulous relationship, and still have most of my wits about me. ;)

I really can’t say what is my greatest accomplishment. I cherish all the articles I have written, my website and my current job but I feel I have not reached by greatest accomplishment yet. However, I think the best thing I ever did in my life was marry my wife 14 years ago. Our relationship has only gotten stronger over the years and we are more in love then ever. I would hate to see where I would be today without her.

When good people like Scott mention my name I can’t help but feel proud of who I am and how I act. Scott, your website has helped a lot of people over the years and has helped bring many like-minded people together who have a common passion. It is truly something to be proud of.

My marriage of 25+ years and raising my three children, everything else is gravy.

My greatest accomplishment? Err....

Overcoming dyslexia and sticking two fingers up to the teachers who said I would fail everything. Getting HNDs in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Ignoring the maths tutor (a pattern emerges...) and studying quantum physics....for fun!

Taking over, turning round and running a specialist bike shop....then selling up before a down-turn. Persuading other people that a mountain bike with only 1 gear is a great idea (and getting Dawes to mass-produce one!) Organising the Singlespeed Mountain Bike World Champs in Berlin last year and seeing 400+ drunk bikers have a great, if hazey, weekend.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Very bad learning difficulty, so rubbish at school. Fantastic support from my parents helped me to learn ways of overcoming it and I made it to, and through, university. I also ignored my maths tutors and did as much maths as possible. Now working in a very mathsy job and loving it. And that's me. Normal. More or less.

Mine is a little different...I realised I didnt have to live my life the way my father chose and discovered there was a big wide world out there!
