HELP

Was that scanned from print or from negative?

If from print, it is possible that the frame was really underexposed and the printer pushed the exposure on the frame as far as it will go. This resulted in a very flat and grainy photo.

If you were using ISO 100 film with your camera set to ISO 400, the same can occur. Your Pentax automatically sets the ISO read from the coded film canister.... so I"m not so sure incorrect ISO setting was the culprit (unless it was overridden)
 
btw... keep at it.. don't loose hope.

All of us that go back to film days went through this learning process. Just imagine how scary it can be shooting a high priority assignment for work on film..... not knowing if everything is eh ok until after the shoot is done.
 
yea it was on manual so that could of been the problem ill try again soon - yea ill post more up for sure, skate photograph is really cool and im just starting to have some fun with it
