I haven't been on this section of the forum recently but here I am again :)

Only my second game, first this year. My school doesn't have lights (only school in the city) Which makes everyone else said. Lucky me I don't have to deal with stadium lights and I get sun :) We are the team in the brown jersey.... We lost 40-7...... so far we are 0-4...... oh well......

What do ya think? Comments and critiques please

very nice... i like how you isolated the main players showing action (with the ball) from the rest. and the dof is nice.

What lense did you shoot with?

Shot with 70-200 f/4 L. I wish I had a little bit longer of a lens, and faster tho I thought the DOF wasn't too bad. I was debating getting a 1.4x tele converter but I don't think I would use it enough to make it worth while..

those are great considering the amount of moving they are doing.

its not the point that you wouldnt use it. im sure you most definately would giving you greater dof and range.

however, adding a teleconverter will take your f stop up about 2 whole stops. so if your plannin on doin any low light and not straight sunlight.. thats when you might wanna think of just buying a longer, faster lense. im using the sigma 120-300 f/2.8 which is about 400mm on the digital. if i add tele itll go up to about 600, but the f stop is much slower at 5.6

If I add a 1.4x it'll just go to f/5.6 which in bright sun isn't a problem. The greater length will probably end up giving me a shallower DOF then f/4 at 200. I mainly shoot portraits tho so I'm not about to spend any amount of money just for a handful of high school football games.
