turn off the flash on a nikon d80 so i can shoot in auto but with no flash? thanks in advance
well i'd shoot in manual, but if your not there yet, shoot in program mode (P) its got all the functionalities of Manual, but it will control your shutter speed and aperture for you.
I doubt it is even possible.
umm.. i believe its possible for all cameras these days o.o
If you want full auto without the flash popping up, use Program mode and set your ISO to Auto. Then it's the exact same as Auto mode, but no flash unless you want it.
Well I know my D40 has a specific "Auto with no flash" mode that is right next to the auto mode on the mode selector dial thingy. Look for something like that, or just go read your manual.
d80 doesnt have that... like i said p mode and iso auto
i figured it out thanks for the help. you hold the top button in the front by the lense and roll the back wheel over twice. i dont see why they didnt just put it on the wheel like other cameras do. o well
yup was just going to say, hold the flash button above the lens and jog the rear command dial until the 'lightning' symbol on LCD has the scored out circle.. easy.
on the d40 you can just hold the flash down with your finger. Works like a charm!
hahah ya i was gonna say just hold it down with the finger trick
