70-200mm 2.8 vr lens for $1600? with the new VR2 being released i'm hoping to find a used vr1 for a good deal, i know these used to sell for about $1900-$2000 new but i didn't know if I should wait and see if prices drop a little more or do you guys think that it will stay roughly around this much for awhile?

Does it come with the original packaging, hood, end caps, users manual?

What kind of condition is the lens in, 10, 9+, 9, 8+, 8?

As the price for new Nikon lenses continues to go up, so will the prices for good used Nikon lenses. In other words, it's possible that if you snooze, you loose.

Are you aware of the AF 80-200 f/2.8D?

ya that is the one i was looking at on B&H... i know its a great lens and I'd love to have it, but not sure if its a screaming deal that I need to act on now... i'll have to prove to my husband that I saved a ton of money if I spend $1600 today. lol!!
