So i pulled out my old minolta from "storage".. its been there for about a month, and sadly.. i forgot to put any silica packs in with the lenses and camera.. my two small lenses (28mm, and 50mm) are fine it looks like.. however upon inspection of my 80-200mm lense, i found this...

(sorry for the size, but i figure i best keep it full size for ppl to see)

my first though.. mold, however not knowing much i figure i'd get a confirmation from ya'll...
thanks

Did it clean off? If so, are there any issues with spots on the inside of the glass?

thats the thing, its in the inner glass, on the lense that moves with the zoom action.. sorry i didnt mention that.

Depending on where it was stored; humid, damp, warm area, there is a chance that it is mold. But that would indicate that your lens is not sealed very good. And for the amount of time it was stored it would have to have been some extreme conditions for it to be mold.
Just my opinion from what I can see from the photo. I would suggest taking to a local dealer/repairshop and see if its worth cleaning.
